Student Empowerment Group

Purpose

Student Empowerment Group is created to provide tools for professionals working with students who need encouragement as well as skills.

We believe the most significant barrier for students success is that they do not feel they can succeed. Students in traditional settings often are just going through the motions.

Student Empowerment Group provides instruction tools that are designed to empower as well as teach. A key element of the instruction is building self-awareness. Students need to realize their powers: the power to learn, the power to change, and the power to make a difference.

Mission and History

The Mission of Student Empowerment Group

After nearly 40 years of working with students with emotional challenges to their learning, Wade created Student Empowerment Group to provide teachers with tools to directly address these emotional challenges. The mission is to meet students “where they are” as the saying goes. We acknowledge students as dynamic individuals who must be key players in their learning. We believe in the power of self-awareness to bringing change. Instructional tools therefore must include elements that directly awaken students to their inner powers of decision making.

Let's Chat

Wade loves to collect stories. Students continually surprise their teachers with understandings that were not expected. Please share your stories of success with students especially the surprises.

Any kind of program or tool that depends upon student input often requires discussion. If you would like some discussion on how to implement the programs found on this site, please start a chat.
